When you’re the first lady of the most powerful country in the world, all the attention focuses on you. This has been true for Melania Trump, the current wife of President Donald Trump. Since his inauguration earlier this year, Trump has been having a blast. In his recent trip to Europe, he met with notable leaders and even shook hands with the pope. Melania, on the other hand, has been having a difficult time easing into her role as First Lady. She is better known for her incredible fashion sense – she frequently adorns designer attire, such as the stunning Dolce & Gabbana gown she rocked during the G7 leaders’ concert.

Born in Slovenia during the year 1970, Melania Knauss was a fashion model before she met and married Donald Trump. In 2001, she became a United States permanent resident and was later given U.S. citizenship by naturalization in the year 2006. She’s made history in her own unique way: she’s the only First Lady in U.S. history to have been naturalized, and the second one to have been born in a different country. Her mother, Amalija, was a patternmaker who hailed from the small village of Raka. Her father was called Viktor Knavs. He in a vehicle manufacturing company managing dealerships of motorcycles and cars.

Melania studied at the Slovenian University of Ljubljana, although she dropped out after only one year. Before joining the university, she attended a secondary school in Ljubljana which mainly taught Design and Photography. Apart from speaking Slovene, her native language, she can also speak French, English, German and Italian languages. As a teenager, Melania’s family moved from Novo Mesto into a two-story house situated in a town called Sevnica. Later on, when she moved to high school, she went to live in a gorgeous apartment located in Ljubljana.

The University of Ljubljana is one of the largest universities in the whole of Europe. It has over 63,000 students pursuing graduate and undergraduate courses. The institution was established after the Slovene government saw the need to establish a university that primarily used Slovene language. However, political restlessness in the region postponed the establishment of this university until the early 20 th century. However, the university was eventually founded in 1918 after the State of Croats, Slovenes and Serbs was established. By the year 1919, the university had five fully functioning faculties which included theology, law, medicine, technology and philosophy.

There are two libraries owned by the University of Ljubljana, both containing more than 1.3 million resources. Currently, there are 3 academies and 23 faculties within the university, all located around urban Ljubljana. For instance, there’s the Academy of Music, Fine Arts & Design and Theatre, Radio, Film & Television. Some of the institution’s faculties include the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Social Sciences, Sport, Arts, Economics, Theology and Computer & Information Science. It’s amazing how Melania Trump education at the University of Ljubljana lasted only one year, considering the immense resources owned by this university. The institution even launched an art gallery that has been operating since 2012.

Melania began modelling at the tender age of 16. Two years later, she joined a modelling agency based in Milan. She came from the bottom and gradually built her modelling career. Her persistence was frequently tested, but she never flinched. As she grew more popular, top celebrities and personalities started to notice her. She once landed on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit. Her hard work was finally getting rewarded.

Melania Trump Marries Donald Trump

Trump and Melania met at a party during the New York fashion week, back in 1998. She was initially reluctant to date him, but later agreed to establish a relationship. The couple later engaged in 2004. Melanie Trump education background didn’t bother Trump – he saw in her a smart, beautiful lady and immediately fell in love. Their wedding happened in 2005 at Palm Beach, Florida. Many celebrities attended the wedding ceremony, including the Clintons, Matt Lauer and Shaquille O’Neal. Some controversial images of her modelling work were circulated online, including her nude cover in the 2000 GQ British magazine which showed her casually lying on a fur blanket while naked. The controversy was fueled further when some parts of a speech she made at July 2016’s Republican National Convention were found to be plagiarized. Excerpts of this speech were similar to another speech that Michelle Obama made during the 2008 Democratic National Convention. This led many to question Melania Trump education level. Later on, however, Meredith Mclver who was Trump’s staff writer took full responsibility for this mix-up.

Amid all the controversies, Melania never left Donald Trump’s side. When her husband was declared America’s 45 th president, she was super elated. President Trump told reporters that he wouldn’t enter the White House alongside Melania. Instead, he would let her stay in New York together with their son Barron. This would allow their son to complete that year at the private school that he’s currently studying. Clearly, Melania Trump education background didn’t make her give up on her dreams.
